WARREN TO WELCOME ANOTHER FAMILY HOME
& REVEAL A RECORD BREAKING YEAR

On Monday, April 16 at 3pm, less than six months after breaking ground, Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity will celebrate the completion of the 2011 Xmas Jam House. Warren Haynes, in town for a show at the Orange Peel the night before, will join Habitat staff and supporters to welcome Michelle Bevans and her children home during a ceremonial key presentation and house dedication. Media and community well-wishers are invited.

Homeowner-to-be Michelle Bevans, a huge Warren Haynes and Christmas Jam fan, has worked hard towards homeownership. With nearly 200 hours of sweat equity completed including homeownership preparation classes, she is excited to move into Habitat's thriving Carney Place neighborhood. She is grateful to Haynes and all the musicians that perform in the Xmas Jam for the benefit of families like hers, and she looks forward to thanking him in person on April 16.

In addition to celebrating the completion of the 2011 Xmas Jam House, which was built in part by 100 volunteers who participated in Before the Jam, Lend a Hand week in December, Haynes will present Habitat with a proceeds check from the W&S Charitable Foundation. He will unveil a record-breaking single-year contribution from the 2011 Jam as well as announce the cumulative total which is now well-past the $1 million mark! The W&S Charitable Foundation (W & S for Warren & his wife Stefani Scamardo) is the charitable arm of the annual Warren Haynes Presents: The Christmas Jam.

We are grateful and humbled by the enormous generosity of the W&S Charitable Foundation to the work of Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity. Their ongoing commitment to help Asheville families live in safe, decent and affordable homes shows the heart and passion Warren and Stefani have for our community," states executive director Lew Kraus. CLOTHING DONATIONS AT THE CHRISTMAS JAM
Once again Grateful Bread is going to be set up outside the will call at The Asheville Civic Center collecting clothing donations to help the homeless in the Asheville area. Last year over 70 bags of very needed clothing was donated at the jam. Any blankets, coats, gloves, sweaters and even socks can make a huge difference in the life of someone in need this winter. So please clean out your closets and dressers and bring everything that you can with you on December 10th, it will make a huge difference. We thank you in advance for your continued generosity.

The Christmas Jam may be SOLD OUT, but we are pleased to announce that Christmas Jam by Day will be returning on Friday December 9th & Saturday December 10th in Asheville, NC. X-MAS JAM LINE-UP ADDITIONS
Thank you for making this year's Christmas Jam the fastest sellout in the event's 23 year history. Given the incredible response to the line-up we're going to give you longer sets and less changes between bands.

We do have some exciting additions to share with you though. Joining previously the announced Bela Fleck will Xmas Jam veteran Jimmy Herring along with drummer and fellow Aquarium Rescue Unit member Jeff Sipe and renowned saxophonist Bill Evans for what is sure to be a mind-blowing set of music. Also, Special Guests Mike Barnes, Audley Freed and Kevn Kinney will be returning to The Christmas Jam this year as well. It just wouldn't be the same without them.

BEFORE THE JAM LEND A HAND
Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity, The Christmas Jam and Merrell are joining forces again to provide fans with an opportunity to volunteer on "Before the Jam, Lend a Hand" volunteer week – Tuesday, December 6 through Friday, December 9th. First come, first serve.

To reserve your spot, click here. You will need to register as a new volunteer, unless you have volunteered with Asheville Habitat in the past. Then go to Event Groups and select Before the Jam, Lend a Hand.

We are overwhelmed with the incredible response we have had so far to this years Christmas Jam lineup as our pre-sale sold out in record time. The public on-sale will be Friday at 10am through Ticketmaster & The Civic Center Box Office. Please don't hesitate on getting tickets for the Jam, as they are going to be sold out before you know it!

Ticket Prices: GA: $56 + $2 Facility Fee = $58 No additional Ticketmaster service fees if you buy the tickets at The Civic Center Box Office.

As always, all proceeds from the Christmas Jam will go to benefit Habitat For Humanity and we thank all of you who have come to the jam, bought a t-shirt or made a donation for allowing us to continue to support such a great organization.

The initial line-up, includes a rare show by Phil Lesh & Friends (Featuring: Phil Lesh, Warren Haynes, Jackie Greene, Jeff Chimenti & Joe Russo) as well as Gov't Mule's return to The Xmas Jam, Los Lobos & Bela Fleck and many more to be announced shortly. Pre-Sale Tickets and a limited number of discounted 4-packs will be available through Christmas Jam Ticketing starting Tuesday October 18th at Noon and running through Thursday October 20th and shutting off at 11:59pm as supplies last. Pre-Sale tickets & 4 packs did sell out last year before the end of the pre-sale window (4 packs went within the first hour), so get them early.

The public on-sale will be through Ticketmaster & The Civic Center Box Office at 10am on Saturday October 22nd.
